Trusted on the Water, Day After Day

Owner Spotlight | Cory Palmer
2007 Gause 26 • Tarpon Springs, Florida

Capt. Cory Palmer has been guiding for 16 years and has trusted his 2007 Gause 26 for the past six. See why it’s the boat he relies on for his Tarpon Springs charter operation.

Their Story

Built for Life on the Water

For Capt. Cory Palmer, his Gause isn’t simply a boat he enjoys on his days off. It’s the boat he trusts every day for his charter operation, Light Tackle Sport Fishing.

Cory has been guiding for 16 years and has owned his 2007 Gause 26 for the past six. Based out of Tarpon Springs, Florida, he spends most of his time fishing the inshore and nearshore waters of the Gulf Coast.

After years of making his living on the water, Cory knows exactly what he needs from a boat—and his Gause continues to deliver.

A Boat Built for the Job

Running charters means Cory’s boat has to perform consistently while also keeping the people aboard comfortable.

His Gause gives him the versatility he needs for the different conditions and waters he encounters throughout his day-to-day operation.

“This boat just performs in all areas. My family and clients are always comfortable. I’ve been guiding 16 years and haven’t found a better boat for my operation.”

Whether he’s putting clients on fish or spending a day on the water with his family, the same qualities that make the boat work for his business make it a boat everyone aboard can enjoy.

At Home Inshore & Nearshore

While a Gause is capable of taking on a wide range of waters, Cory spends most of his time fishing inshore and nearshore all along Floridas West Coast.

It’s where his charter business operates and where he says the boat shines.

“The boat performs exceptionally well inshore and nearshore every day.”

For Cory, that dependable performance isn’t something he experiences occasionally—it’s something he relies on every time he leaves the dock.

More Than a Boat

While Cory’s Gause plays an important role in his business, some of the most meaningful time spent aboard has nothing to do with work.

It’s also the boat his kids are growing up on.

Through the years, his Gause has been there for family days on the water, fishing trips, and countless moments together—the kind of memories that become part of a family’s story.

For Cory, that’s what makes this boat about so much more than where it can take him. It’s about who gets to grow up along for the ride.

“Thousands of memories have been made on that boat. I can’t pick one.”
