Built From the Ground Up: Inside the Gause Built Fiberglass Shop
When we say your boat is custom built, we mean it—literally.
At Gause Built Boats, every boat begins and ends under our roof. There’s no outsourcing, no shortcuts, and no mystery about where or how your boat is made. From the very first layer of gel coat to the final laminated components, your boat is built in-house by a team that takes pride in every step of the process.

From Gel Coat to Laminate — Every Step Matters
The process starts with gel coat, carefully applied to ensure a flawless finish and long-term durability. From there, our fiberglass team begins the meticulous work that forms the foundation of your boat. Each layer is laid with precision, ensuring strength, consistency, and performance where it matters most.
Once the laminate work is complete, individual components are carefully released from their molds—
the hull, stringer, liner, cap, and detailed parts like the console and helm. These aren’t mass-produced pieces shipped in from elsewhere; they’re built specifically for your boat, with your build in mind from the start.
Built by People Who Care
What truly sets our fiberglass shop apart isn’t just the process—it’s the people behind it.
Our team brings decades of hands-on experience to every build, and that knowledge shows in the finished product. One of the most meaningful parts of our shop is the legacy that lives within its walls.
Duran has been with Gause Built Boats since 2008. Boat building isn’t just his job—it’s his craft. Over the decades, he’s helped shape the boats, the processes, and the standards that define who we are today. The boats leaving our shop carry that legacy forward, one build at a time.
More Than a Boat — It’s a Commitment
When you choose a Gause Built boat, you’re not just choosing a layout or a color scheme. You’re choosing a team that builds with intention, accountability, and pride. We see your boat through every phase—from raw materials to finished laminate—because we believe that’s the only way to do it right.
This is how your dream boat takes shape. Built in-house. Built by craftsmen. Built the Gause Built way.
