For those familiar with the history of Gause Built Boats, the original 17’ Gause skiff, last produced in 2013, became a memorable part of our lineup. It offered the craftsmanship, ride quality, and custom finish that Gause boats are known for, all in a smaller, highly versatile platform.
Now, after years of requests and growing demand for a high-quality custom skiff, we’re proud to announce its return — completely redesigned from the hull up.
Introducing the all-new 20’ Gause Built Skiff, scheduled to begin production in January 2027.
This new model represents more than just the return of a skiff. It marks the next chapter for Gause Built Boats as we approach a major milestone: our 25th anniversary in business.

Every Gause boat is built in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where our team continues the tradition of hand-built craftsmanship that has defined the brand for more than two decades.
Unlike mass-produced boats, each Gause build is carefully constructed with a focus on quality and customization. The same philosophy applies to the new 20’ skiff.
Owners will have the opportunity to personalize many aspects of their build, including finish details, artwork, and layout preferences. This approach ensures that every boat leaving our shop reflects both the Gause standard and the owner’s vision.
Production Begins in 2027
Production for the 20’ Gause Built Skiff is scheduled to begin in January 2027, aligning with an important milestone for our company.
That year marks 25 years of Gause Built Boats, and we wanted to create something meaningful to celebrate it.
The return of the Gause skiff felt like the perfect way to mark that moment.
A Limited Opportunity for the First Five Owners
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Gause Built Boats, the first five customers who secure their build position will receive something truly unique.
These first five boats will include exclusive 25th anniversary paint and artwork, designed specifically for this milestone. This artwork will only be available on these anniversary builds, making them truly one-of-a-kind Gause boats.
In addition, the first five builds will be offered at cost as a way to thank the customers who choose to be part of this special chapter.
This opportunity is limited and will only apply to the first five deposits received.
